The Gathering of God's People

*Call To Worship

Leader:
We are gathered here
as one community of God,
united in love and compassion
who offers us freedom from sins.
Are we really ready to be chosen, blessed, broken and shared
with others?
Receive the blessings and prepare yourselves
for the coming of God's new kingdom.
There we shall renew our faith
and witness God's loving will for us
as God is our refuge, our strength.
The Christian Conference of Asia, April 2001

*Hymn Of Gathering

"Christians, We Have Met to Worship"             No. 277

*Unison Prayer

O God our Rock and our redeemer, we gather together this morning to reflect upon your good news. For your word is more desirable than the finest gold, sweeter than pure honey. It can transform our lives. We join our voices and our faith with our brothers and sisters around the world to sing hymns, to give thanks and express our deepest faith. In this time of worship, we open our hearts and minds, our very souls to your presence. Let the words of our mouths and the meditations of all our hearts be acceptable to you, we pray. Amen.                 Seasons of the Spirit
